Ross Q. Smith & Wade Lowdermilk Knowledge is Good Endowed Scholarship. Established February 16, 2016, for the benefit of the Electrical Engineering program at the Cockrell School of Engineering.

The Ross Q. Smith & Wade Lowdermilk Knowledge Is Good Endowed Scholarship provides support to undergraduate students, with preference given to students pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering who are involved with the Women in Engineering Program (WEP) and/or the Society of Women Engineers, and who are United States veterans. 

Ross Q. Smith and Wade Lowdermilk are alumni of the Electrical Engineering program. Ross is Chairman and CEO of RADX. Wade is a Senior Technical Adviser and Board member at the company, which develops advanced, DSP-based technologies and products for wired and wireless communications on a global basis. Mr. Smith’s industry awards include No. 2 PC Gamer Product of All Time, for Voodoo Graphics. He has served on industry advisory boards as well as the Board of The Colors of Cambodia Art School in Cambodia. Mr. Lowdermilk received an MSEE degree from San Diego State University and is internationally recognized as an expert in software-defined cognitive radio automated test equipment and synthetic instrumentation technologies.
