Feb 4, 2004 | Excellence Funds & Program Support

Edith Scott McAllister attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1936 to 1938 and has never stopped loving UT Austin. She has many involvements at the University and remains a life member of the Marine Science Advisory Council. Since about 1945, the McAllisters have spent a lot of time in the Port Aransas area and have been staunch supporters of marine science.

The Anthony F. Amos Endowment for Support of the Animal Rehabilitation Keep at The University of Texas at Austin Marine Science Institute was established by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System on February 4, 2004, for the benefit of the College of Natural Sciences. The endowment provides funds for operations, maintenance, and other funding needs associated with the care of injured birds, turtles, and mammals at the Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK). The endowment honors Anthony F. Amos, Ph.D. of Port Aransas, Texas, for all he does for the study and support of the animals.
